Cupping Therapy
This therapy uses negative pressure, instead of tissue compression (typical massage work), for impressive results in a wide array of bodywork techniques. When suction & negative pressure is created, cupping therapy causes the release of rigid soft tissue, drains excess fluids, toxins, loosens adhesions, lifts connective tissue, brings blood flow to stagnant skin and muscles.
Myofascial Release is a safe & very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure. Myofascial Pressure on connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. This can help address a myriad of debilitating & stubborn conditions. Restructuring of the myofacial bands is possible with cumulative treatments. There is no form of lymphatic stimulation & drainage that can even approach the efficacy & speed that suction can achieve.
Cupping pulls stagnation out of tissues & brings the skin to proper level. Pores expand & discharge waste, & the rest then is more accessible to the body’s circulatory lymphatic systems where it can be properly flushed out. This is what many times looks like “round bruises” which is really just debris that rise to the surface & are released through the lymph nodes.
When creating the negative pressure above the surface of the tissues, the decrease in atmospheric pressure allows the tissues to be lifted upwards so that the space increases for the underlying tissues. Since cupping therapy uses negative pressure, rather then tissue compression (typical massage work), superior bodywork ranging from myofacial release & deep tissue work are much more easily accomplished. The rapid suction of cups facilitates rigid soft tissue release by pulling away from underlying structures & loosening areas of adhesion or restriction.
Not to mention that the negative pressure of cupping therapy feels great. The pulling action engages the parasympathetic nervous system allowing a deep & restorative relaxation to move through the entire body. It is not unusual to fall asleep when receiving cupping therapy. Clients often remark how relaxed, warm, & light they feel for hours to days afterwards. In most cases the cupping therapy are comparable to other expensive & many times painful treatments that require mechanical devices or surgery to deliver results.
Cupping Therapy is great for the back, cellulite area - including glutes/thighs/hips/legs, anterior thoracic & abdominals, upper/lower arms, & posterior neck from the anterior position. Remember discolorations are not bruises at all. Rather they are when circulation is compromised or sluggish in an injured or dis-eased area.
